Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 August 2026
This policy explains how BlendMode ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use Dash and our website. We are the data controller for that information.
Where you use Dash to record data about other people — for example a colleague named as the owner of a KPI — you are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf.
1. What we collect
- Account data — name, email address, password hash, company name, and role.
- Billing data — plan, billing period, and transaction records. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Business data — the KPIs, targets, weekly figures, and notes you enter. This is usually business rather than personal data, but may include names of people assigned to a KPI.
- Integration data — where you connect a third-party tool, the data that tool exposes through its API and that you have asked us to retrieve. We request only the permissions needed for the figures you are tracking, we access it on your instruction, and you can disconnect an integration at any time to stop further collection.
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location from IP, browser and device type.
- Support data — messages you send us.
2. How we use it
- to provide, secure, and support the Service;
- to process payments and manage subscriptions;
- to respond to your requests;
- to understand which features are used, so we can improve them;
- to send service messages, and — where you have opted in — product updates;
- to meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use your business data to advertise to you. We may use aggregated, de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked back to you to operate and improve the Service.
3. Legal bases
Where UK/EU data protection law applies, we rely on:
- Contract — to deliver the Service you signed up for;
- Legitimate interests — to secure and improve the Service, balanced against your rights;
- Consent — for marketing email and non-essential cookies;
- Legal obligation — for tax and accounting records.
4. Sharing and service providers
We share personal data only with:
- service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, limited to these categories — cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring, product analytics, and customer support tooling;
- third-party tools you choose to connect, and only as needed to pull the data you have asked for;
- professional advisers, or authorities where we are legally required;
- an acquirer, if the business is sold or reorganised — we will notify you first.
Each provider is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions and to protect it. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.
5. International transfers
We and our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Retention
We keep account and business data for as long as your account is active. After you close it we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records longer for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution reasons. Usage data is kept for a shorter period than account data unless we need it longer to investigate a security or abuse issue. Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so deleted data persists there briefly before it is purged.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege internal access, and we review these measures regularly. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and any relevant regulator of a qualifying breach within the timeframes the law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent. Contact support@blendmode.com and we will respond within the period the law allows. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you are in the UK or EEA you may complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. If you are a California resident you also have the right to know what we collect and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information; as noted above, we do neither.
Where we process data on behalf of a customer as a processor, we will refer your request to that customer.
9. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep the Service secure. Any analytics or preference cookies are set only with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through your browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Do Not Track
Browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no agreed standard for how services should respond to it, so we do not currently change our behaviour when we receive one. You can control non-essential cookies using the choices described above.
11. Links to other sites
The Service and our website may link to sites we do not operate, and connecting an integration will take you to that provider's own sign-in page. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Read their privacy policies before providing personal data.
12. Children
The Service is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give notice by email or in-product before they take effect.
14. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email support@blendmode.com, call +1 615 721 2444, or write to BlendMode, Franklin, Tennessee, United States.
